Q. What types of memberships does the Club offer?
Class A Equity Golf, Young Executive, Intermediate Golf , Social and dining.   

Q. What are the privileges of a Class A Equity Golf Membership?
This is our Premier Membership which offers you equity in the club as well as voting rights at our annual meeting.  Class A Membership entitles the member, spouse and children through the year of their 26th birthday to full use of the golf, fitness center, pool, dining and all social events. 

Q.  What are the privileges of a Young Executive Membership?
This classification entitles the member under the age of 37 years of age, spouse and children full golf privileges, complete access to the pool & fitness center and all social & dining events.  This is a non-refundable equity membership (equity is only refundable if the Club is sold, not upon transfer of membership).

Q.  What are the privileges of the Social Membership?
The Social Membership entitles member, spouse and children through the year of their 26th birthday to complete access of the pool & fitness center, all social events and dining privileges. 

Q. When will I have to pay the initiation fee?
All of our initiation fees are due on receipt of your membership application, unless otherwise specified on the membership promotion.

Q. Is any part of the initiation fee refundable?
No part of the initiation fee is refundable.

Q. Can a Young Executive, or Social Sport Member become an equity member?
Absolutely, we will apply the initiation fee that you paid when you joined to the current cost of the Class A Golf Membership. 

Q. Will my spouse be entitled to my membership upon my death?
Yes, upon your death your spouse may request in writing to continue as a member without payment of any additional membership fee.  The widow dues are reduced.

Q. Will my family be able to use the Club?
Yes.  The immediate family of the member is entitled to use the Club facilities.  The immediate family includes the member, spouse and children under the age of 26.

Q. Will non-members be permitted to use the facilities of the Club?
As a member of Edgewood, you are permitted to bring guests to the Club.  There are limitations; however, golf guests are only permitted to play twice per month full guests fees will apply.  Guests are welcome to use the pool & fitness center without restrictions and will be charged current guest fees.

Q. Are there food and beverage minimums?
No. We pride ourselves on not having a food and beverage minimum.  It is our hope that our members enjoy the atmosphere and the food so much that they utilize the club to the fullest on their own free will.

Q. How is gratuity handled at Edgewood?
ECC has an open tipping policy.  Whatever you put on the chit, be it 10% to 30% is what the server gets.   If the chit is left blank a 17% standard gratuity is applied.   If you would like to add an additional tip you may either write in the amount that you would like to give your server e.g. $25.00 or you can simply put a % on the tip line, eg. 25%. 

Q. How do we pay our monthly Edgewood statement?
You have a few options.  The first one is to send a check, the second is to use your master card or visa but there is a 3% convenience fee added to the total of your bill or we can withdraw the funds directly from your checking or savings account via ACH.  There is no fee for the ACH payments.

Q. Does the club allow use of its facilities for non-member events?
The clubhouse has a variety of rooms that will accommodate your special function.  We have the capacity for small groups of as little as 10 on up to 250 people.  We are here to make each and every event that you or someone you know a very pleasurable experience.  It is easy to sponsor an event for a friend or associate, simply refer them to Edgewood and ask that they use your name as a reference.  No financial obligation is required.

Q. Is there a dress code at Edgewood?
The purpose of a dress code is not to dictate fashion, but rather simply, to safeguard an atmosphere of dignity and respect for the fellow members.  Edgewood Country Club is an exclusive, member-owned, private country club with the aim of a relaxed, but conservative, dress code. Please refer to our 2017 Member Roster Book for our complete Dress Code Policy.
Tasteful casual wear is permitted in the club except when otherwise noted. Bathing attire is not permitted in any area of the club except the locker rooms and pool area.
Casual attire at Edgewood Country Club is defined as “tasteful casual wear.” Bermuda shorts and walking shorts and golfing attire are permissible. Shirts are to be tucked in unless specifically made to be worn outside the pants or shorts. Cutoffs, athletic shorts, yoga pants, crew neck shirts, hoodies and t-shirts are inappropriate. Appropriate denim/jean apparel (no holes, tears or patches) are permitted in the main clubhouse, patio, and pool deck and not permitted on the golf course or golf practice facilities. Fireside room may be reserved for semi-formal (non-denim) dining.
Gentlemen will remove their caps when in any of the club dining rooms.
Special events such as Mother’s Day Brunch, Easter Brunch, President’s Ball, and Fine Dining will have the dress code designated as formal or semi-formal and this will be noted in the event communications.

Q. What is the Tee Time Reservation Policy?
All tee times can be reserved in advance with the exception of starter times on Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.   For a starters time prior to 11:00 a.m. only a member or guest in the group that will be playing may obtain the starters time. Reservations for starting times may be made by phone after 8:00 a.m. or in person after 8:30 a.m. between Tuesday and Friday for the following Saturday, between Wednesday and Saturday for the following Sunday.  For weekday play, reservations may be made beginning Tuesday for Friday and beginning Friday for the following Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  Tee times are also available online through the website www.edgewoodcountryclub.org.    All golf membership classifications may designate, on a daily basis, one adult member of the immediate family to use “preferred” tee times, when in effect, as shown on the Edgewood tee time schedule. Only the designated immediate family member may use these “preferred” tee times (Preferred times are before 9:00 a.m.).

Q. Does the Club offer competitive tournaments?
Yes, the PGA staff develops a yearly tournament schedule with events for men, women, mixed events and couples.    The EWGA (Edgewood Women’s Golf Association) has both 9 and 18-hole groups that play on Thursdays.  There is an active Junior Golf Program for 7-16 year olds.  Information is provided via e-mail in May to register the kids for this fun & informative 6-week program.   There is a Tuesday night men’s league and Wednesday is men’s day in the afternoon.

Q. Are there times when members may not bring guests?
Yes, there are times when the golf course or club is reserved for member only events.   Weekend mornings before 9:00 a.m. are generally reserved for golf members only.  Members are notified of other special events which are of a member only nature.

Q. Are there children’s events and programs?
Yes.  In addition to the Jr. golf, the swim team and sports camp, we jam pack our calendar with fun family events that include our annual 4th of July party with inflatable’s, face painting, a rock wall, airbrush tattoo artists and much more.  We also offer pool parties, family bingo, Children’s Christmas Party, a Halloween Bash with hay rides and crafts,  kids cooking classes, family night which includes crafts, games and dinner.  This is just a few of the great events that we offer to our membership.

Q. Does the Club offer group exercise classes and is there an additional charge?
Edgewood offers a variety of programs year round, including yoga, bootcamp, zumba, fitness fusion, cardio blast, core-n-more,  and r.i.p.p.e.d.  There is an extra charge for the classes, contact the fitness center for more information.

Q. What are the hours of operation for the fitness center?
The fitness center is open seven days a week year round.
Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.  (staffed from 6 a.m. – noon and 4 p.m. until close)   Saturday & Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (staffed from 8 a.m. until noon).

Q. Does the Club offer swim lessons for children and is there an additional charge?
Our Pool Director conducts private, semi private and group classes for the children.  There is an extra charge for this service.  You can contact the pool office for times and prices.

Q.   Does Edgewood have a swim team?
Edgewood also offers a very active swim team; which competes with other area clubs in the prestigious MICSA Swim League.  Our coach not only teaches them the proper strokes but the kids also enjoy competing and socializing with their team mates.

Q. What are the hours of operation for the pool?
The Edgewood Pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.  Because our season is so short in Michigan, we keep our pool open 7 days.  It opens at 11:00 a.m. and remains open until 8:00 p.m.  (Weather permitting).

Q. As a member of Edgewood, can we bring guests to the pool?
Absolutely, there are guest fees, which are charged to the members account.  Adult guest fees are $10 and children’s guest fees are $6.
